The XDP™ Digital Power Supply XDPS2201 is a multi-mode, digitally configurable hybrid flyback controller that combines the traditional simplified flyback topology with the performance of a resonant converter. By using two high-voltage MOSFETs, such as CoolMOSTM, the hybrid flyback XDPS2201 controller is capable of driving both high-voltage and low-voltage MOSFETs in asymmetric half-bridge flyback topologies. By adjusting the positive and negative magnetizing current, zero voltage switch can be realized in the primary and zero current switch in the secondary, which improves the efficiency. In addition, the transformer leakage energy is recovered, further improving efficiency.
