The MAX20087BATPA/VY four-channel camera power protector IC provides up to 600mA load current per output. Each output is independently protected against battery short circuit, short circuit to ground, and overcurrent.The IC operates from a 3V to 5.5V supply voltage with a 3V to 15V camera power supply. The input to output voltage difference is only 110mV (typical) @ 300mA.

The IC provides enable control and an I2C interface to read the diagnostic status of the device. The on-board ADC reads the current of each switch. ASIL B and ASIL D compliant versions can read an additional 7 diagnostic measurements via the ADC to ensure coverage of high failure rate events.
