The LTC2992CMS-1 is a rail-to-rail system monitor that measures current, voltage, and power from two supplies. The device has a 2.7V to 100V operating range and a built-in shunt regulator for >100V supplies. 0V to 100V voltage measurement range is independent of the input supply. Two ADCs simultaneously measure the current of each supply. A third ADC monitors the input voltage and four auxiliary external voltages. The current and power of each supply is added to the total system power consumption. Minimum and maximum measurements are stored, and an out-of-range warning with programmable thresholds minimises the need for software polling. Data is reported via a standard I2C interface. A shutdown mode reduces current consumption to 25μA (typical).
