The MAX20330BEWA is an overvoltage controller with VBUS impedance detection. The device drives an external low RON path for devices that require a flexible and adjustable OVLO threshold. The detection feature detects soft shorts on VBUS and warns the user of potential connector overheating. Designed to drive single or dual back-to-back external N-channel MOSFETs with low RON (10mΩ max). An external TVS can be used to protect the device from high energy surges if necessary. The device is available in an 8-bump (0.35 mm pitch, 1.77 mm x 1.03 mm) wafer level package (WLP) with an operating temperature range of -40ºC to +85°C. The device is also available with a low RON (up to 10 mΩ).
