The SCT1000N170AG device is a 1700 V, 7A silicon carbide power MOSFET produced using the advanced, innovative properties of wide band gap materials. This results in unmatched on-off resistance per unit area and very good switching performance, almost unaffected by temperature. The excellent thermal performance of the SiC material, coupled with the device housing in the proprietary HiP247 package, enables designers to use industry-standard shapes with significantly improved thermal performance. These characteristics make the device ideal for high efficiency and high power density applications.
