The DS90UB947NTRGCRQ1 is an OpenLDI to FPD-Link III bridge device that works in conjunction with the FPD-Link IIIDS90UB940-Q1/DS90UB948-Q1 deserialisers to provide single or dual channel high-speed serial streams over cost-effective 50Ω single-ended coaxial cables or 100Ω differential shielded twisted-pair (STP) cables. or dual-channel high-speed serial streams over cost-effective 50Ω single-ended coaxial or 100Ω differential shielded twisted pair (STP) cable. It serialises OpenLDI inputs and supports video resolutions up to WUXGA and 1080p60 (24-bit colour depth).

The FPD-Link III interface supports video and audio data transfer and full-duplex control (including I2C and SPI communication) over the same differential link. The integration of video data and control over two differential pairs reduces interconnect size and weight and simplifies system design. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) is further reduced through the use of low-voltage differential signalling, data permutation and random generation. The device supports up to WXGA and 720p resolution (24-bit colour depth) on a single differential link in backward compatible mode.

The DS90UB947NTRGCRQ1 supports multichannel audio reception through an external I2S interface. The audio data received by the device is encrypted and sent out over the FPD-Link III interface and later regenerated by a deserialiser.
