The TMP451-Q1 device is a high precision, low power remote temperature sensor monitor with a built-in local temperature sensor. Such remote temperature sensors typically use low-cost discrete NPN or PNP transistors, or substrate thermal transistors or diodes, and for local and remote sensors, this temperature representation is encoded in a 12-bit digital format with a resolution of 0.0625°C. For local and remote temperature sensors, the temperature accuracy is ±1°C (maximum) over a typical operating range. This two-wire serial port accepts SMBus communication protocol.

The TMP451-Q1 device is ideal for multi-location, high-precision temperature measurements in a variety of automotive subsystems. The TMP451-Q1 comes in a wettable wing WSON package that provides a visual indicator for weldability to reduce automatic visual inspection (AVI) time. The device has a rated operating supply voltage range of 1.7V to 3.6V and a rated operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
