TPS43350QDAPRQ1 This device is a current-mode synchronous buck controller for automotive applications in harsh environments. This device is ideal for multi-rail systems that require low quiescent current because they operate in a low power mode (only 30µA current consumption) at light loads. The device provides protection features such as thermal protection, soft start, and overcurrent protection. In the event of a short circuit at the regulator output, the current foldback feature is activated, which limits the current flow through the metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) used to control power dissipation. Two independent soft-start inputs enable independent output voltage ramping during start-up.
The switching frequency is programmable from 150kHz to 600kHz, i.e. the frequency of the external clock to which the device can be synchronised.
