The LM25088QMHX-2 high-voltage asynchronous buck controllers have all the features needed to achieve a high-efficiency, high-voltage buck converter with as few external components as possible. It can be configured to operate over an ultra-wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 42V. This easy-to-use controller includes a level-shifting gate driver that controls an external N-channel buck switch. The control method is based on peak current mode control using an emulated current ramp. The use of emulated current ramping reduces the noise sensitivity of the pulse-width modulation circuitry, allowing reliable control of the very small duty cycles required for high input voltage and low output voltage applications.The LM25088 has a programmable switching frequency from 50kHz to 1MHz.
