The LM22670QTJE-ADJ/NOPB switching regulator provides all the features necessary to achieve a highly efficient high-voltage buck BUCK) regulator using minimal external components. This easy-to-use regulator combines 42-VN-channel MOSFET switches to provide up to 3A of load current. Excellent line and load regulation and high efficiency (>909%6) are provided. Voltage-mode control provides short minimum punctuality, allowing the widest ratio between input and output voltages Internal loop compensation means that the user does not need the tedious task of calculating loop compensation components. Fixed 5V output and adjustable output voltage options are available with the default switching frequency set at 500kHz, thus allowing small external components and good transient response. In addition, the frequency can be adjusted in the range of 200 kHz to 1 MHz by means of a separate external resistor. The internal oscillator can be synchronised with the system clock or the oscillator of another regulator. An accurate enable input allows simplified regulator control and system power sequencing. In shutdown mode, the regulator consumes only 25pA (typical). Built-in soft-start (500YS, typical) saves external components. This LM22670QTJE-ADJ/NOPB device also features built-in thermal shutdown and current limiting to prevent accidental overload.
