The LTC2358ILX-16 is a 16-bit, low-noise, 8-channel synchronous sampling successive approximation register (SAR) ADC with buffered differential, wide common-mode range pico-amp inputs. This SoftSpan™ ADC is powered by a low 5V supply and a flexible high voltage supply with an internal reference voltage source and buffer, and each channel can be configured independently based on conversion to accept ±10.24V, 0V to 10.24V, ±5.12V, or 0V to 5.12V signals. Individual channels can also be disabled to increase throughput on the remaining channels.
The LTC2358ILX-16 integrates a pico-amp input analogue buffer, wide input common mode range and 128dB CMRR, enabling the ADC to directly digitise a wide range of signals with minimal board space and power requirements. This input signal flexibility combined with ±1LSB INL, 16-bit lossless coding, and 94.2dB SNR make the LTC2358-16 well suited for many high voltage applications requiring wide dynamic range.
The LTC2358ILX-16 supports pin-selectable SPI CMOS (1.8V to 5V) and LVDS serial interfaces. Data outputs between single and eight channels can be employed in CMOS mode, enabling users to optimise bus width and throughput.
