The MPU-9250 is a 9-axis motion tracking device integrating a 3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis magnetometer, and Digital Motion Processor™ (DMP) within a compact 3x3x1mm package. It represents a pin-compatible upgrade to the MPU-6515. The MPU-9250 employs a dedicated I²C sensor bus to provide complete 9-axis MotionFusion™ output directly.

The MPU-9250 MotionTracking device integrates a 9-axis sensor, on-chip MotionFusion™, and runtime calibration firmware. This enables manufacturers to eliminate the costly and complex selection, qualification, and system-level integration of discrete components, ensuring optimal motion performance for consumers. The MPU-9250 can also connect to multiple non-inertial digital sensors, such as pressure sensors, via its auxiliary I²C port.
