The Bosch BMI055 IMU is an ultra-compact 6-axis inertial sensor comprising a digital 3-axis 12-bit accelerometer and a 3-axis digital 16-bit gyroscope with a ±2000 °/s measurement range. The BMI055 enables ultra-low-noise measurement of angular velocity and acceleration along three vertical axes, enabling detection of tilt, motion, impact, and vibration in mobile phones, handheld devices, computer peripherals, human-machine interfaces, and remote and gaming controllers.

The BMI055 features an ultra-small base area of just 3 x 4.5 mm², making it a unique low-noise inertial measurement unit. On the top, the BMI055 integrates multiple functions, particularly suited for motion detection applications such as device orientation measurement, gaming consoles, HMI, and menu browser control.

The Bosch Sensortec BMI055 plug-in board is a PCB equipped with the BMI055 inertial measurement unit (IMU). The device can be easily connected to the sensor's pins via a simple socket. All Bosch Sensortec sensor plug-in boards have the same base area, and these devices can be inserted into Bosch Sensortec's advanced development tools (such as development boards or application boards).

Of course, the BMI055 plug-in board can also be used in customers' own solutions.
