Overview:

The NCP4318ALCDR2G is a hybrid-mode synchronous rectification (SR) controller for LLC resonant converters, utilising instantaneous drain voltage and prior dead-time information whilst requiring a minimal number of external components. Adaptive dead-time control compensates for parasitic inductance voltage, maximising SR MOSFET conduction and efficiency. Multi-step shutdown threshold control and SR current reversal detection prevent reverse current during fast load transients, ensuring stable SR operation across the entire load range. Furthermore, to enhance efficiency at light loads, the VGATE voltage can adaptively reduce from 10V to 6V/5V.
