The TPS65197BRUYR is an 8-channel level shifter with discharge capability, suitable for LCD display applications such as notebook computers, monitors, and televisions.

The TPS65197BRUYR converts timing controller (T-CON) logic level signals to the high-level signals required by Gate-in-Panel (GIP) displays.

The clock outputs CLKOUTx support standard level-shifting operation as well as 2-channel or 3-channel charge sharing, enabling improved picture quality and power consumption. During power-down, all outputs follow their input signals as closely as possible; when the discharge function is active, outputs are pulled high (VGH).

The TPS65197BRUYR performs a logic reset following the STV rising edge (which forces all six output clocks to VGL1) to ignore erroneous T-CON signals. The next CLKIN1 rising edge unlocks the logic and enables normal operation. The TPS65197BRUYR lacks a logic reset function, and all output signals continuously track their input signals.
