The HMC905LP3E is a SiGe BiCMOS low-noise programmable divider in a 3x3 mm leadless surface-mount package. Within an input frequency range of 400 MHz to 6 GHz, the circuit is programmable and supports division ratios from N = 1 to N = 4. The device features high output power (up to 6 dBm single-ended), extremely low SSB phase noise, and a 50% duty cycle, making it ideal for low-noise clock generation, LO generation, and LO drive applications. Power consumption and output power can be controlled via configurable bias and output power control features. The device integrates a shutdown feature, excellent input-to-output isolation, and fast start-up time. The HMC905LP3E is suitable for fast-switching ‘ping-pong’ applications.
