The BQ76PL536ATPAPRQ1 device is a stackable battery monitor and protector for three to six series-connected lithium-ion batteries.The BQ76PL536ATPAPRQ1 integrates an analogue front-end (AFE) and a precision analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) to accurately measure battery voltage. A separate ADC is used to measure temperature.
In addition to measuring temperature, the device provides overvoltage and undervoltage monitoring protection for each channel. User-programmable protection thresholds and delay times are stored via non-volatile memory. Once one of these thresholds is exceeded, a fault signal is output.
Support for a 192-cell battery pack can be achieved by stacking the BQ76PL536ATPAPRQ1 devices.
