The LTC6812ILWE-1 is a multi-cell battery pack monitor that can measure the voltage of up to 15 series-connected batteries, with a total measurement error of less than 2.2mV. The battery measurement range of LTC6812ILWE-1 is from 0V to 5V, and thus it is suitable for most battery chemical compositions. All 15 batteries can complete the measurement within 245µs, and a lower data acquisition rate can be selected to achieve high noise suppression.

In addition, this battery chip can be directly powered by a battery pack or an isolated power supply. The LTC6812ILWE-1 features passive charge balancing for each battery and individual PWM duty cycle control for each battery. Other features include an integrated 5V regulator, 9 universal I/O lines and A sleep mode (in which current consumption is reduced to 6µA).
