The MSP430F5329IPNR is an ultra-low-power 16-bit RISC architecture microcontroller belonging to the F5x sub-family of the MSP430 family. It integrates high-performance peripherals and a rich set of function blocks for application scenarios that require low power consumption, high integration, and efficient processing power.

Low-power design:

Power consumption is 290µA/MHz (typical) in activation mode (AM) at 8MHz, 3V and Flash programme execution, and 150µA/MHz (typical) at 8MHz, 3V and RAM programme execution.

Standby mode (LPM3) with real-time clock (RTC) with crystal, watchdog, power monitor available, full RAM hold, and fast wake-up consumes 1.9µA at 2.2V and 2.1µA at 3V (typical).

Low-power oscillator (VLO), general-purpose counter, watchdog, power monitor available, full RAM hold, fast wake-up, 1.4µA at 3V (typical).

Shutdown mode (LPM4), full RAM hold, power monitor available, fast wake-up, 1.1µA at 3V typical.

Shutdown mode (LPM4.5) with power consumption of 0.18µA at 3V (typical).

Two Universal Serial Communication Interfaces (USCIs), USCI_A0 and USCI_A1, both support Enhanced Universal Asynchronous Transceiver (UART) with automatic baud rate detection, IrDA encoding and decoding, and Synchronous Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI); USCI_B0 and USCI_B1, each support I2C, Synchronous SPI.

Integrated 3.3V power system.

12-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) with internal reference, sample hold, and auto-scan.

Hardware multiplier supports 32-bit operations.
