The MCP3001-I/MS is a 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that combines high performance and low power consumption in a small package, making it highly suitable for embedded control applications. The MCP3001-I/MS adopts a sequential approximation register (SAR) architecture and an industry-standard SPI serial interface, allowing the addition of 10-bit ADC functionality to any PIC® microcontroller. The MCP3001-I/MS features 200k sampling per second, one input channel, low power consumption (5nA typical standby, 400μA typical active), and is packaged in an 8-pin MSOP.
