Low-power modes: Multiple low-power modes are available, including LPM3 (standby mode, WDT mode, 1.1 µA at 3 V), LPM4 (shutdown mode, RAM hold, 0.9 µA at 3 V), and LPM4.5 (shutdown mode, 0.25 µA at 3 V). Wake-up time from standby mode is less than 5 µs.
High-performance processor: 16-bit RISC architecture with 40ns instruction cycle time and support for clock frequencies up to 25MHz.
Storage options: 32KB of internal Flash and 2KB of SRAM to meet the storage needs of most embedded applications.
Rich peripheral interfaces: including two 16-bit high-resolution timers (Timer TD0 and Timer TD1, both support high-resolution mode), a 16-bit timer TA0, 3-channel DMA, general-purpose serial communication interfaces (USCI_A0 supports enhanced UART, IrDA encoder and decoder, synchronous SPI; USCI_B0 supports I2C and synchronous SPI), and a 10-bit 200-bit serial interface. Flexible power management system: Integrated programmable voltage regulators support a wide supply voltage range of 1.8V to 3.6V with supply voltage supervision, monitoring and undervoltage reset.
Unified Clock System: Phase-locked loop (FLL) with frequency stabilisation control loop, low-power low-frequency internal clock source (VLO), low-frequency calibrated internal reference source (REFO), 32kHz crystal (XT1), and high-frequency crystals (XT1) supporting up to 25MHz.
Hardware Multiplier: Hardware multiplier supporting 32-bit operation to accelerate mathematical operations.
High-tolerance I/O: Provides up to 12 digital push-pull I/Os with 5V tolerance and maximum drive current of up to 20mA per pin.
