The AD74115HBCPZ is a single-channel, software configurable input and output device for industrial control applications.The AD74115HBCPZ offers a variety of single-chip integration use cases. These use cases include analogue outputs, analogue inputs, digital outputs, digital inputs, resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) and thermocouple measurement functions. A serial peripheral interface (SPI) is used to handle all communication with the device. The digital inputs and digital outputs can be accessed via the SPI or General Purpose Input and Output (GPIO) pins to support higher data rates.

The device features a 16-bit sigma-delta analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) and a 14-bit digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). The AD74115 includes a high precision 2.5 V on-chip reference voltage source which can be used as a DAC and ADC reference voltage source.
