The ADAQ4381-4BBCZ is a four-channel precision data acquisition (DAQ) signal chain μModule solution that shortens the development cycle of precision measurement systems by shifting the challenges of component selection, optimisation and layout in signal chain design from the designer to the device.
The ADAQ4381-4BBCZ uses system-in-package (SIP) technology to integrate multiple general-purpose signal processing and conditioning modules into a single device, reducing the number of components in the end system. These modules include a quad-channel, high-resolution, 14-bit, 4 MSPS synchronous sampling SAR ADC, a low-noise, fully differential ADC drive amplifier, a 3.3 V precision voltage reference, a low-noise buffer amplifier, and a low dropout linear regulator.
The ADAQ4381-4BBCZ features an on-chip oversampling block to increase dynamic range and reduce noise at lower bandwidths. Oversampling adds up to two bits of resolution. It has the flexibility of a configurable ADC driver feedback loop that allows four gain and attenuation adjustments and accepts fully differential or single-ended to differential input configurations.
The ADAQ4381-4BBCZ uses Analog Devices, Inc. iPassives® technology, which integrates key passive components with excellent matching and drift characteristics to minimise temperature-dependent error sources and provide optimised signal chain performance. The ADAQ4381-4BBCZ is supplied from a single 5 V power supply, and all necessary bypass and decoupling capacitors are included in the package to ensure optimal performance. The ADAQ4381-4's level of system integration solves many design challenges and provides a compact, simple solution for multi-channel applications.
Conversion results can be simultaneously clocked out via a 4-wire mode for faster throughput or a 1-wire serial mode for slower throughput. the ADAQ4381-4BBCZ is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V interfaces using a separate logic power supply. the ADAQ4381-4BBCZ is specified over the operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
