The MAX20499BFON/VY high-efficiency, synchronous, step-down converter operates over a 3.0V to 5.5V input voltage range and provides a 0.5V to 1.275V output voltage range. The wide input/output voltage range and peak output current of up to 12 A make the device ideal for point-of-load and back-end regulation.The MAX20499 achieves an output error of ±1.5% over the full load, input voltage, and temperature range.

The MAX20499BFON/VY features a 2.2MHz fixed-frequency PWM mode for better noise immunity and load transient response. 2.2MHz operating frequency allows the use of full ceramic capacitors to minimise external components. The spread spectrum modulation option minimises electromagnetic emissions. The integrated low RDS(ON)(ON) switch greatly improves efficiency at heavy loads and simplifies circuit layout relative to discrete solutions.
