The DS90UB960WRTDRQ1 is a versatile sensor hub that collects serial sensor data received from 4 separate video streams via the FPD-Link III interface. When paired with the DS90UB953-Q1 serialiser, the DS90UB960-Q1 receives data from sensors such as imagers that support Full HD 1080p/2MP resolution at 60Hz frame rates. The received data is aggregated to an output that is MIPI CSI-2 compliant and interconnected with a downstream processor. The device is also equipped with a second MIPI CSI-2 output port to provide additional bandwidth or a second copy output for data recording and parallel processing.
The DS90UB960WRTDRQ1 includes four FPD-Link III deserialisers, each supporting connection via a cost-effective 50Ω single-ended coaxial or 100Ω differential STP cable. The receive equaliser automatically adapts to compensate for cable loss characteristics, including degradation over time.
Each FPD-Link III interface also includes a separate low-latency bi-directional control channel that continuously transmits I2C, GPIO and other control information. General purpose I/O signals, such as those required for camera synchronisation and diagnostic features, can also be utilised with this bi-directional control channel.
The DS90UB960WRTDRQ1 is AEC-Q100 compliant for automotive applications and is available in a cost effective and space saving 64-pin VQFN package.
