The AD5593RBCPZ-RL7 integrates eight I/O pins that can be individually configured for DAC output, ADC input, digital output, or digital input. The I/O pin is driven by a 12-bit DAC when configured for analog output. DAC output ranges from 0 V to VREF, or 0 V to 2 x VREF. When configured as an analog input, the I/O pin is connected to a 12-bit ADC via an analog multiplexer. ADC input ranges from 0 V to VREF, or 0 V to 2 x VREF. I/O pins can also be configured as Universal Digital Input or Output (GPIO) pins. Access the GPIO register via I2C write/read operations to set or read back the GPIO pin state.

The AD5593R device is ideal for control & monitoring, and general purpose analog & digital I/O applications.
