The AD5592RWBCPZ-RL7 integrates eight I/Ox pins (I/O0 to I/O7) that can be individually configured for digital-to-analog converter (DAC) output, ADC input, digital output, or digital input. The I/Ox pin is driven by a 12-bit DAC when configured for analog output. DAC output ranges from 0 V to VREF, or 0 V to 2 × VREF. The I/Ox pin is connected to a 12-bit ADC via an analog multiplexer when configured as an analog input. ADC input ranges from 0 V to VREF, or 0 V to 2 x VREF. The total throughput rate of ADC is 400 kSPS. I/Ox pins can also be configured as digital, Universal input or Output (GPIO) pins. A write/read operation is performed via the serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) to access the GPIO write data register or the GPIO read configuration register, respectively, to set or read back the GPIO pin state.
The AD5592R is ideal for control and monitoring, and general purpose analog & digital I/O applications.
