The AD9081BBPZ4D4ACCSL mixed-signal front end (MxFE®) features a four-channel 16-bit 12GSPS RFDAC and a four-channel 12-bit 4GSPS RFADC. The device is ideal for applications that require wideband ADCs and Dacs to process signals with a wide instantaneous bandwidth.

The AD9081 has eight transmit and eight receive channels and supports either 24.75 Gbps/ channel JESD204C or 15.5 Gbps/ channel JESD204B standards. The suite also features an on-chip clock multiplier, as well as wideband or multiband digital signal processing (DSP) capabilities aimed directly at RF applications. The DSP data path can be bypassed to allow a direct connection between the converter kernel and the JESD204 data transceiver port. The suite also features low-delay echo and frequency-hopping modes for phase array radar systems and electronic warfare applications. Two models of the AD9081 are available. The 4D4AC model supports full instantaneous channel bandwidth, while the 4D4AB model supports a maximum instantaneous bandwidth of 600 MHz per channel by automatically configuring the DSP to limit the instantaneous bandwidth at startup.
