TMS320VC5509AZAYR fixed-point digital signal processor (DSP) is based on TMS320C55x DSP generation CPU processor core. The C55x™ DSP architecture enables high performance and low power consumption by increasing parallelism and focusing on reducing power consumption.

The TMS320C55x CPU offers two multiplication accumulation (MAC) units, each capable of 17-bit by 17-bit multiplication in a single cycle.
