The ST25R100-CMET multi-purpose NFC transceiver delivers high-end performance in a small 4x4 mm package, bringing the convenience and functionality of contactless interaction to a variety of end-use applications. It is optimised for end products in the consumer and industrial sectors.

The ST25R100-CMET supports NFC read/write mode. The high output power allows easy integration into applications with small antennas. The reader has an excellent read range and an improved Low Power Card Detection (LPCD) function, which increases the detection range in Wake on Sense mode. In this low-power wake-up mode, the system is able to detect the proximity or removal of a tag. The IC contains an RC oscillator and programmable timer that automatically scans for cards or other NFC devices such as smartwatches or mobile phones in WU mode.

The high sensitivity of the ST25R100-CMET, supported by ST's Noise Suppression Receiver (NSR) technology, enables successful reads even in noisy environments.

The device includes an advanced analogue front end (AFE) and a highly integrated data framing system for NFCA/B (ISO 14443A/B) and NFC-V (ISO 15693) readers.The transparent mode of the AFE can be used to implement other custom protocols in reader mode.
