The ADS114S08BIPBSR is a high-precision 16-bit Δ-Σ analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) that combines low power consumption with a wide range of integration features to reduce system cost and the number of components in small sensor signal measurement applications.
These ADCs are equipped with digital filters that provide low-latency conversion results and 50Hz or 60Hz noise rejection in noisy industrial environments. The programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs) are low-noise and offer gains from 1 to 128 to amplify low-amplitude signals for resistive bridge or thermocouple applications. In addition, both devices incorporate a low-drift 2.5V voltage reference, reducing printed circuit board (PCB) area. Finally, two programmable excitation current sources (IDACs) are available to provide accurate resistive temperature detector (RTD) bias.
