The LDL40PURY is a high precision voltage regulator designed for direct connection to automotive batteries in automotive applications or common batteries in industrial applications. An extended input voltage of up to 40 V enables the device to support load dump transients typical of automotive systems. Ultra-low quiescent current at light loads extends battery life in systems that are always in standby mode. The device is stabilised by small ceramic capacitors on the inputs and outputs. An enable logic control puts the LDL40 in shutdown mode, resulting in a total current consumption of less than 0.3 µmA, and thermal protection is also included.
