The MP2617HGL is a monolithic, switch-mode, battery charger with power path management for single-cell Li-ion batteries in a wide range of tablets and other portable devices. The MP2617H integrates a synchronous buck regulator that provides regulated voltage to power the system output and charge the battery simultaneously. The MP2617H supports both USB and high-power DC adapter inputs. In USB mode, the input current limit can be programmed to 450mA or 825mA via the logic pins to cover USB2.0 and USB3.0 specifications. When the adapter input is present, the input current can also be limited to avoid overloading the DC adapter. The input current limit can be programmed up to 3A.
