The MAX25249ATPL/VY is a high-efficiency, four-output PMIC that integrates three DC-DC converters and one high-PSRR LDO, all with OV/UV monitoring.OUT1 is a 1A, high-voltage, synchronous buck converter that is powered by a coaxial cable supply or an automotive battery.OUT2 and OUT3 are low-voltage, synchronous buck converters that are powered by a coaxial cable supply or an automotive battery. OUT1 is the power supply, providing a range of output voltages from 0.8 V to 3.9875 V. OUT2 delivers 1.2 A of current and is suitable for megapixel cameras and high-speed serialisers. OUT3 delivers 0.5 A of current and powers the auxiliary power rails of the imagers, serial converters, and MCUs. OUT4 is a low-voltage, low-noise, high-PSRR LDO suitable for imager power supplies. All buck converters achieve ±1.5% output voltage accuracy over the entire load, supply, and temperature range. Over- and under-voltage faults are monitored with ±1.3% accuracy near set voltage, with errors indicated by a low-level active RESET.
The device features a 2.2MHz fixed frequency PWM mode for better noise immunity and load transient response. The high operating frequency allows the use of full ceramic capacitors to minimise external components. Programmable spread spectrum modulation minimises electromagnetic emissions. Integrated low-RDS(ON) switch greatly improves efficiency at heavy loads and simplifies circuit layout compared to discrete solutions.
