The MAX98380EWG is a small mono Class D audio amplifier with an integrated capacitor boost converter. The device uses a boost converter based on a triple charge pump to efficiently deliver up to 4.85W of power for 8Ω loads at 1% THD+N. The capacitive boost converter replaces the large, high-cost inductors required for inductive boost converters with smaller capacitors, thereby reducing the size of the entire PCB solution.
