The SI8946AD-AS4 is a galvanically isolated delta-sigma modulator that outputs a digital signal proportional to the voltage level at the input. The low-voltage differential input is ideally suited for measuring the voltage across a current shunt resistor, or wherever the sensor must be isolated from the control system. Low noise, low error and high accuracy ensure accurate measurement of system currents. The output is derived from a second order triangular integral modulator. The modulator can be clocked by an on-board oscillator or an external clock.
