The VL53L3CXV0DH/1 time-of-flight ranging sensor embeds ST's third-generation FlightSense technology. The sensor combines a high-performance proximity and ranging sensor with multi-target distance measurement and automatic smear correction. The miniature reflowable package integrates a photonic avalanche diode (SPAD) array. Physical infrared filters with a variety of glass-covered windows allow for optimal ranging performance in a variety of ambient lighting conditions. The advantages of a high-performance proximity sensor are combined with excellent short-range linearity and a range capability of up to 3 metres.
