The LT8228HFE is a 100V bi-directional constant-current or constant-voltage synchronous buck or boost controller with a separate compensation network. Power flow direction is automatically determined by the device or externally controlled. Input and output protection MOSFETs prevent negative voltages, control inrush currents, and provide isolation between terminals. In buck mode, the protection MOSFET on the V1 terminal prevents reverse current. In boost mode, the same MOSFETs regulate output inrush current and protect themselves with an adjustable timer circuit.
