The MAX33076EASE is a family of rugged, four-channel RS-485/422 receivers with high CMR (common-mode range), high fault protection, and high ESD for harsh electrical environments. The series operates over a voltage range of +3.3 V or +5.0 V. These devices have a high CMR of ±25 V, which facilitates reception of information when the ground plane is grounded. This helps to receive information when the ground plane between two nodes has a large difference in the ground plane between two nodes or when there is external interference from other sources of electrical noise. These parts have an extended fault protection of ±65V, where the data lines are protected against accidental short-circuiting to the local power supply.
