The SPC58ECx microcontroller is the first of a new family of devices that replaces the SPC56ECx family. The SPC58ECx builds on the SPC56ECx family while introducing new features, coupled with higher throughput, resulting in a significant reduction in cost per feature and a significant increase in power and performance (MIPS per milliwatt). On the SPC58ECx devices there are two processor cores, the e200z420, and an e200z0 core with an embedded hardware security module.
