The MPQ4228GRE-AEC1-Z integrates a monolithic step-down switching mode converter with a USB current limit switch and a Type-C 5V @ 3A mode configuration channel for USB ports. It achieves 3A output current over a wide input supply range and has excellent load and line regulation.

The output of the USB switch is current limited, and the USB port supports Apple 3A division mode, DCP scheme with BC1.2, and 1.2V/1.2V mode. The USB port also supports USB Type-C 5V @ 3A DFP mode and Type-A mode (CC1 = 97.6kΩ).

The MPQ4228GRE-AEC1-Z requires only a few off-the-shelf standard external components, and the MPQ4228 is available in a QFN-22 (4mmx4mm) package.
