The DS90UA101TRTVJQ1 serialiser, used in conjunction with the DS90UA102-Q1 deserialiser, provides a solution for distributing digital audio in multi-channel audio systems. It sends data over a single shielded twisted pair or coaxial cable using a high-speed serialised interface with an embedded clock. The serial bus system is configured to support high-speed forward data transmission and low-speed bi-directional control channels on the link. The combined use of digital audio, general-purpose IO, and control signals on a single differential pair reduces interconnect size and weight, while also reducing design issues related to skew and system latency.
The DS90UA101TRTVJQ1 serialiser embeds the clock and shifts the signal level to high-speed low-voltage differential signalling. The device serialises up to eight digital audio data inputs, word/frame synchronisation, bit clock and system clock.
Four dedicated general-purpose input pins and four general-purpose output pins provide flexible control and interrupt signalling to remote devices.
