The LM5149-Q1 synchronous step-down DC/DC controller is an 80V, ultra-low IQ synchronous step-down DC/DC controller for high current, single output applications. The controller features a peak current mode control architecture with simple loop compensation, fast transient response, and excellent load and line regulation.The LM5149-Q1 can be set to bi-phase mode to provide accurate current sharing for high current applications. The device can operate from as low as 3.5V VIN and can be operated at close to 100% duty cycle as required.
The LM5149-Q1 has two unique EMI reduction features: an active EMI filter and Dual Random Spread Spectrum (DRSS). The active EMI filter detects any noise or ripple voltage on the DC input bus and injects a heterodyne cancellation signal to reduce interference, while the DRSS combines low frequency delta modulation with high frequency random modulation to reduce EMI on the low and high frequency bands respectively.
The LM5149-Q1 is available in a 3.5mm × 5.5mm thermal enhanced 24-pin VQFN package with wettable flanking pins for easy optical inspection during manufacturing.
