The MAX14874ETC dual push-pull driver provides a small, simple solution for driving and controlling relays and valves with voltages ranging from 4.5V to 36V.

It can also be used to drive brushed DC motors. Individual driver load currents can be monitored via separate COM pins. Peak currents of up to 2.5A ensure that high motor torques with PWM control are achieved. Low driver on-resistance reduces power consumption.

The device's charge-pump-less design reduces external components and lowers supply current.

It features pass-through protection and an internal continuity diode that absorbs induced currents. The driver outputs are short-circuit protected against power supply shorts and shorts between M1 and M2. The active-low FAULT output signals thermal overload and overcurrent during fault conditions.

The MAX14874ETC is available in a 12-pin TDFN-EP (3mm x 3mm) package and operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
