The TLF50201EL is a high-frequency PWM step-down DC/DC converter with integrated PMOS power switch in a small PG-SSOP-14 package with exposed pads.A wide input voltage range of 4.75 V to 45 V makes the TLF50201EL suitable for a variety of applications. The device is designed for use in harsh automotive environments. The nominal 2.2 MHz switching frequency allows the use of small, cost-effective inductors and capacitors, resulting in low and predictable output voltage ripple and minimising board space consumption. Under light load conditions, the device operates in pulse frequency modulation (PFM) to optimise efficiency. Between single pulses, all internal control circuits are turned off to reduce internal power consumption.The TLF50201EL features cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal shutdown, and input undervoltage lockout protection.
