The MAX20010EATPA/V ICs are high-efficiency synchronous buck converters that operate over an input voltage range of 3.0 V to 5.5 V and an output voltage range of 0.5 V to 1.5875 V. The wide input/output voltage ranges and the ability to supply up to 6 A of load current make these ICs ideal for on-board point-of-load and post regulation applications. These ICs achieve ±2% output error over load, line, and temperature ranges. the MAX20010E improves transient response.

The IC features a 2.2MHz fixed-frequency PWM mode for better noise immunity and load transient response, and a pulsed-frequency modulation mode (frequency hopping) for improved efficiency in light-load operation. 2.2MHz frequency operation allows the use of all-ceramic capacitors to minimise the solution's footprint. Programmable spread spectrum frequency modulation minimises radiated electromagnetic emissions. Integrated low RDS(ON) switch improves efficiency at heavy loads and provides a simpler layout than discrete solutions.
