RG5R364B0C0GBY (3rd generation RCD) is a stored clock driver for DDR5 RDIMM, supporting a rate of up to 6400 MT/s in server applications. Its main function is to buffer the command address (CA) bus, chip selection and clock signals between the main controller and DRAM.

The RG5R364B0C0GBY supports a dual-channel architecture, where these two channels share some common logic but operate independently in other aspects (such as clock signals). Each channel has a 7-bit dual-channel data rate CA bus input, a single-channel parity input, and a two-bit chip selection signal input, and will generate two sets of 14-bit single-channel data rate CA bus outputs and two sets of chip selection outputs. The RCD has a universal clock input and PLL, but it also generates a separate clock output to the DRAM channel.
