The LTC6992IS6-1 is a silicon oscillator featuring an easy-to-use analogue voltage-controlled pulse width modulation (PWM) function. The LTC6992IS6-1 belongs to the TimerBlox® family of general-purpose silicon timing devices.

A single resistor RSET is responsible for setting the internal main oscillator frequency of the LTC6992. The output frequency is determined by this main oscillator and an internal divider NDIV (programmable to 8 preset values within the range of 1 to 16384).

A voltage between 0V and 1V applied to the MOD pin sets the duty cycle.

The four versions have different minimum/maximum duty cycle ranges. Note that a minimum duty cycle of 0% or a maximum duty cycle of 100% may cause the oscillator to stop under extreme duty cycle settings.
