The LMK61E2BBA-SIAR is an ultra-low jitter PLLatinum™ programmable oscillator with a fractional N frequency synthesiser (with an integrated VCO that generates a common reference clock). The output can be configured as LVPECL, LVDS, or HCSL.

The device supports self-start from the on-chip EEPROM, which is factory-programmed to generate a 156.25MHz LVPECL output. Device registers and EEPROM settings are fully programmable in-system via the I2C serial interface. Internal power regulation provides excellent power supply ripple rejection (PSRR), reducing the cost and complexity of the power supply network. The device is powered from a single 3.3V ± 5% supply.

The device supports fine and coarse frequency tuning via the I2C serial interface to support system design verification tests (DVT) such as standards compliance and system timing margin tests.
