RC38612A000GN2 is a six-channel wireless access network device synchronizer launched by (RENESAS), mainly used to meet the requirements of high-precision clock synchronization. This clock synchronizer has the following features:

Six independent timing channels

Jitter output is lower than 150fs RMS(typical value)

Digital PLL(DPLL) locks any frequency from 1kHz to 1GHz

The DPLLs numerical control oscillator (dco) generates any frequency from 0.5Hz to 1GHz

The DCO output can be consistent with the output of any DPLL or DCO in terms of phase and frequency

IEEE 1588 support:

Precise resolution of phase measurement and control (1ps)

All outputs/inputs can be configured to decode/encode PWM clock signals

PWM can be used to send and receive embedded frames and synchronous pulses. And the time of day (ToD) and other data

The reference voltage monitor determines whether the reference voltage source is qualified based on the LOS, activity, frequency monitoring and/or LOS input pins

The automatic reference selection state machine selects the active reference for each DPLL based on the reference monitor, priority table, reversible/irreversible, and other programmable Settings

The equipment requires a crystal oscillator or fundamental mode crystal :25MHz to 54MHz

After resetting, the device can automatically configure itself in the following ways:

Standard external IAC EPROM through an independent IAC main port

In addition, the RC38612A000GN2 supports multiple independent timing channels for IEEE 1588 clock synthesis, SyncE clock generation, jitter attenuation, and radio clock generation, including SYSREF generation of converters. The RC38612A000GN2 output ultra-low jitter clock can precisely manage input-to-input, input-to-output and output-to-output phase skew. It can directly synchronously run SerDes with a rate of up to 28Gbps, as well as CPRI/OBSAI, SONET/SDH ADC/DAC and IEEE 1588 TSUs.
